The google definition of Bliss is: Perfect happiness; great joy! That was definitely my day today. I started my “morning” by calling my Mom. I don’t know why I called her. I was so confused. She is an RN and has been for over 45 years, and I had taken my prescribed sleep meds. She assured me that it was not morning. In fact, it was only 9:30pm!! Has anyone ever done that before?! I know my sister did once when we were kids. She jumped in the shower for school and we were laughing so hard cause it was still night time! Ha ha! My Mom made sure to tell me not to drive, which I knew I shouldn’t and wouldn’t. Took my sleep meds at about 8pm and was definitely very disoriented! So I went back to sleep and woke up about 5/530am with a perfect amount of time to actually dress nice and do my make up for AA at 6:30am. I even took a hot relaxing bath with a lavender bath bomb and lavender body scrub gifted by my Mom. I took one last night before my meds too cause thankfully my roommate will not be home all week to sleep at my house. She is moving out the weekend after my birthday!! Yay!!
So I called my Mom at 625am before my meeting to ask her about my Disneyland tickets I bought for my B-Day cause she is obsessed with Disneyland as much as I am. I have to postpone my trip which I can do twice by 2026 and 2027. Cause I bought 2 tickets together and one day separately. I got assaulted very badly recently but will not go into details until I talk with a lawyer. But I have lower back pain. My back is pretty fucked up. Hopefully not to the extent of needing surgery or anything. So AA was amazing. I am going to be the new representative for a publication little monthly magazine called the Grapevine. I forgot I had an oil change until I looked at my calendar in my AA meeting. I wore rainbow wedges today and originally planned on walking to Target and to get Starbucks there, but change of plans. My mechanic would get me an Uber but I did not have cash so I called my own Lyft so I could tip on the app. Please tip your Uber and Lyft drivers well. They are sometimes saving your life, saving you from taking another life, or saving you a lot of money and jail time from not getting a DUI! I went up to Poco and Mom’s to see my friend Amanda who is a server/bartender there and maybe just get some chips and salsa cause someone got their 5 month chip today and brought doughnuts to the meeting and I had one. Chocolate iced..is one of my favorites and it was delicious. Forgot Poco and Mom’s was closed so my awesome Lyft driver showed me how to change my drop off location and took me to Target! I was so blessed to be able to buy Easter dresses for 4 of my nieces (one of which is my cousin’s baby girl but I am still Aunt Steffy)! Also got my nephew who is 7 a Spider-Man toy! Got 2 Barbies for my 2 neices I will see on Easter! One of which had a 5th bday on April 10th. Also got Care Bear cups with straws for my nieces and nephew! Love Care Bears! Wore some Care Bear pants in the hospital that were gifted by my sister Marissa (26 or 27 years old). I also had Care Bear twin sheets when I was an EMT and worked 24 hour shifts.
Went home and chilled and made a sandwich while thinking about the delicious toasted sandwiches my Grams Joyce used to make me! Called a male AA Friend Patrick who is amazing and guided me to the 1:30pm AA meeting at Eastside Place. We did the 4th step in the 12 and 12 book of steps and traditions. Had a great talk with Patrick and other people before and after the meeting. Went home and connected with a new friend on Facebook. Mike and I had a great talk on the phone. He is working on his PHD and wants to start his own Podcast soon and wants me to be a guest at some point. I told Edward about it at the 5:30pm meeting and am excited for him to be a guest too unless he gets his own Podcast first, but either way could still be a guest on my new friends’ podcast I am sure! 5:30pm meeting was amazing! Kept forgetting to stop and get dinner on the way home but finally went past my house to Sonic for chicken fingers, tator tots, and an Ocean Water! If you don’t know what that is, try it! My amazing friend Tara from my Cardiology job a few years ago introduced me to them. It is delightful and refreshing! I am back at work tomorrow and am so excited!! It is only 8:07pm now and I will take my meds about 9/930pm and will most likely still go to AA at 6:30am, check out a new coffee shop I have been wanting to try called Yellow Brick Rd or something on my way to work or maybe my friends’ brothers’ local coffee shop called Brew Station at Broadway and Kolb. Don’t have to be at work till 8:45am!! Good night everyone! Love you and thank you for the continued love and support. Would not be sober and alive without my support system!!
