I created this group for everyone to come together and support each other! I have struggled with mental illness a lot the last 27 years and have had some very dark hard times and felt all alone. I felt all alone especially when I was in the hospital surrounded by professionals. I felt all alone knowing I had a lot of loving family members and friends! I wanted to end my life so many times, but I’m so glad I held on and stayed strong!! I’ve lost too many friends to suicide .. too many .. is just one!! But I am doing this for the people who felt they couldn’t keep going and ended their lives…. My Uncle Scotty, my EMS friend Dave Seymour, my EMS friend Brian Kelly, my step brother Ron! I have also lost a cousin to drugs and another cousin who had a really hard life living with PTSD and drugs… so I am also doing this for them!! And for my Aunt Kiki who also had a hard life with drugs but was the most empathetic loving person and one of my strongest angels! I personally used alcohol as a coping mechanism and a lot of people with mental illness turn to drugs and alcohol and lose the battle that way!

I am also doing this for everyone who took their own life and can’t tell their story and also for all the people who have mental illness and haven’t found their voice yet and to let people know you’re not alone and there is help! And for all the family members and friends who don’t know how to help their friends and family who suffer with mental illness! Please please… if you’re having a hard time… I promise it will get better!! Please ask for help! And please reach out to your friends!!!
