A massage therapist asked me what triggered my trauma (aka SMI - Severe Mental Illness). I have been suiting up and showing up my whole life. First of all, that’s a personal and inappropriate question and second of all… mental illness is the number one silent killer!

Taking a break for a second to do my make up!! This post is also on my Facebook cause it is so important!

Probably worse than cancer, because people can beat cancer now! It is hard to completely overcome and cure mental illness! It is always there. If I did not tell this person about my trauma, and he didn’t see me on one of my worst days, he wouldn’t have even known I have mental illnesss, because I can hide it when I want to. I have always had a job despite being suicidal off and on half of my life starting at age 22 after my first major trauma. One of my first minor traumas was probably being arrested at age 20 for hearing and seeing angels and taken to the psych hospital for 2 weeks and that was fucking hard! I have never said I hear and see them like The Sixth Sense movie. I FEEL my angels talking to me! There is a huge difference! I have never hallucinated or been schizophrenic but they have called me schizoaffective… which in my opinion and experience is just when you are more connected to God and angels and demons.
